Alexandra Büchler is director of Literature Across Frontiers - European Platform for Literary Exchange, Translation and Policy Debate based in Wales, United Kingdom, and editor of its series of reports on the publishing of translated literature and related policy and financing. She is co-author of LAF’s report on the translation of Arabic literature into English and of a recent statistical report on the publishing of translated literature in the UK.  A member of the European Cultural Parliament, she served on the board of organisations such as Culture Action Europe and the UK Translators Association, and currently sits on several committees dealing with literary translation programmes and multilingualism. An editor and translator, she has published over twenty books including anthologies of contemporary fiction and poetry in translation and edits the poetry series New Voices from Europe and Beyond from Arc Publications, UK.
